Music Groups

"Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world."- Martin Luther

Contemporary Worship Team
The Contemporary Worship Team serves the 9:30 am Sunday service. This team is a group that leads the contemporary worship service. The “CWT” consists of vocal and instrumentalists leading the Contemporary Service. This does require some musical reading skills and an audition. There is always room for people who feel called to worship through music.

Chancel Choir
The chancel choir sings traditional anthems and leads the liturgy. Although there are some members in the Chancel Choir that read music, it is not a requirement. The Chancel Choir also participates in special seasonal services, singing Cantatas, and or supplementing special programs that require singing. The choir is a fun group that strives to glorify God through music. Listen for future announcements for when the Choir will be asked to lead.

Cornerstone Singers (“The Stones”)
The Cornerstones is our choir that sings contemporary songs and leads the liturgy at the 6:00 pm Saturday service. The Cornerstones also participate in special seasonal services, supplementing special programs that require singing. The Cornerstones practice in the Sanctuary on Saturday at 4:45 pm before the 6:00 pm service. Reading music is not a requirement.

Bell Choir
English handbells have been a great tradition in worship services. Immanuel is blessed with a 4 1/2 octave set of bells along with a 2 octave set of hand chimes. Everyone is invited to participate in this exciting experience. There is no singing involved, and again, music reading is a plus but not a requirement. The Immanuel Ringers usually participate in worship services 2-3 times per month.
