Music Groups
"Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world."-Martin Luther
Contemporary Worship Team
The Contemporary Worship Team serves the 9:30am Sunday service. This team is a group that leads the contemporary worship service. The “CWT” consists of vocalists and instrumentalists who lead the Contemporary Service. This does require some musical reading skills and an audition. There is always room for more.
Chancel Choir
The chancel choir sings traditional anthems and leads the liturgy alternating Sundays at 8:00 a.m. & 11:15 a.m. Sunday services. Although there are some members in the Chancel Choir that read music, it is not a requirement. The Chancel Choir also participates in special seasonal services singing Cantatas and or supplementing special programs that require singing. The choir is a fun group that strives to glorify God through music. The Chancel Choir rehearses 7:00pm Tuesday evenings in the choir room.
Cornerstone Singers (“The Stones”)
The Cornerstones is our choir that sings contemporary songs and leads the liturgy at the 6:00pm Saturday service. The Cornerstones also participate in special seasonal services supplementing special programs that require singing. The Cornerstones practice in the Sanctuary, Saturday at 4:45pm prior to the 6:00pm Service. Reading music is not a requirement.
Bell Choir
English Hand Bells have been a great tradition in worship services. Immanuel is blessed with a 41/2 octave set of bells along with a 2 octave set of choir chimes. Everyone is invited to participate for an exciting experience. There is no singing involved and again, music reading is a plus, but not a requirement. The Immanuel Ringers usually participate in worship services 2-3 times per month.
